Store value

Hi y'all

I have a KTP400 connected to a s7-1200.

Now i have on my screen the encoder value which comes from my SEW movitrac.

under there I have placed a button "Save" , this to save the actual value so that the motor can get back to it's original begin position after the cycle.

Can anyone give me a quick example how to store thise value in a DB?

Have your button activate a move function directed at the DB.

A Save_Button MOVE Source, Destination

i.e.
HMI Save Button
-----| |-----------[MOV DB20.DBW10, DB21.DBW1]
It will depend on the tag type i.e. is it in a FW or double Flagword is it an integer or long integer.
