twido communication's problem

Hello everyone!!
Look i have a problem with my twido.
i am using twido TWDLCDA24DRF
i erased all data and now i cant communicate...
Error's LED is blinking all time...i cant stop it because i cant communicate with my twido...
any ideas guys??

Also i have twdnac232d adapter, can i use it to communicate with my twido???

what means that you erased all data?
i think you are communicating on RS-232 serial port, and modbus comunication protocol ?
have you the schneider electric modbus driver installed on your computer?..is correctly configured to communicate with the plc...what software you use to comunicate...and what error do you get when you try to get online ?

first of all thanks for reply
in TwidoSuite there is a tab "Debug"
in this tab there are some options, 1)backup, 2)restore, 3)Erase all etc
i chose "Erase all", and now i cant communicate....
yes i have schneider electric modbus driver 1.7
now i use RS 485 serial port of plc, but i have an RS 232 adapter which can be placed on plc

Ok, so you have now cleared all settings and program from PLC. You can't put PLC to Run, because there is no prgram in PLC anymore. You have to first download whole program to PLC.

Which communication cable you have TSX 1031 or older 1030 cable?

I have noticed, that when you try communicate with cable 1030 (no rotary switch), you can't download program to twido PLC, if it don't have some program allready loaded to it.

If twido PLC don't have program (red error blinking)you have to use tsx 1031 cable first to downloading program to PLC. After you have downloade program to PLC, you can also use 1030 cable.

This is little bit strange, but I have tested this several times...

I don't know why cable 1030 don't work, when you download program first time to PLC. Maybe schneider have changed some settings at programming port?

So if you have cable tsx1030, try downloading with cable 1031 (cable with rotary switch).


You can only use port1 (built in, RS485) to programming, you can't use rs232 adapter port for programming.

unfortunately i have only TSX 1030 cable.....
but you say that i have problem with downloading program to plc
i said that i cant communicate...
i dont think that is the same thing...
anyway, thanks and i will follow your advice if i find a new cable...

How I undestand this, there is no program on PLC anymore (stop and error light flashing). You made erase all command, which destroys all data and Programs from PLC's Memory

I think, that problem is that there is no program on PLC anymore, and because of that you can't communicate with PLC.

So you have to download program first to PLC, after that you can put PLC again to Run mode.

But for downloading program to PLC, you maybe need TSX 1031 cable and of course also the old PLC program.

Hi! I have a some problem with TWDLCDA24DRF PLC. Does anybody halp me?
If somebody have this PLC, please open the cover and on the bottom layout you can see some transistor. It marked (Q18) on the layout. I want to know the namber of this transistor. It is burned in my TWIDO.
Sorry for mistakes, I'm ukrainian.

after many tries, i finally did it....
i communicated with twido(i uploaded a simple program) and now is working normally

Hi

I am using twido PLC TWDLCAA24DRF and HMI HMIS5T . Confugured HMI as master and twido as slave on modbus RTU. Parity none,stop bit1,data bit 8, baud rate 19200 and com1. But the communication is not establishing. HMI showing the massage as "no reply from PLC". What would be the issue?

Instead of burying your problem in a 7 year old thread, you might be better starting a new thread. Add in a bit more info such as your communication card on the Twido.
