Hi guys, i have a mobile machine to program/design, and i need to be able to get the rpm from the engine, i have seen that the W pin can be used, but that it may need a conditioner to rectify the wave.
The input on the controller is 0-32vdc, can be a fast count input to 30khz.
Controller is an IFM range CR0403. Designed for mobile machinery

I also have the option to use a proximity on the flywheel, but if i could use the W pin on the alternator, or if its the easier option
But not to sure on what signal the W pin gives out.
Could someone shed some light on this for me please.

Much appreciated, thanks
