Hi Friends,

Can any one help me to figure out the maximum length for a control cable. I have devices located around 150 meters away from the controller. Is it OK to have a such a long distance ?

Can you guys tell me what precautions I need to take in order to avoid signal loss.

Check the manual for the PLC you are using. For an S7-1200 the distances for a 24V digital input are: 500metres shielded, 300metres unshielded and 50metres for a high speed counter input. But as I say, check the manual, if you go outside the specs of your PLC then you will have to figure out a solution.
