need understanding

I would like to ask what is the meaning of a PLC logic printout as well as application program? I am stuck in this section of my report, which need urgent submission. Someone please help.

The answers to your questions are evident with a little thought. Logic is obviously what a PLC does - hence the name. You probably already know what a printout is. And I'll bet you've seen printours.

You kow what an application is - it is applying the operating system and hardware of a PLC to your application, isn't it? A little thought, which is what they should be teaching you how to do, will lead you the rest of the way. Rading your text or other reference materials might help to.

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part. You urgency is all your own.

Second, the professionals here learned by doing. Copying a (possibly incorrect) paragraph or two from anyplace does not constitute education, and I suspect that is what you or your parents are paying for.

Great link Rick!
This should be the "standard PLCtalk answer" to his kind of questions...

So from no one let's answer all the stupid questions from students (by this I don't mean that all the studenst ask stupid questions, some put some real effort in it) with that link (y)

Tom,

A little harsh there?

Nah, Tim, you should have seen what I edited out! I'll admit to it being a long day on a start up, which accounts for all of the typos, and I was a little cranky. However, I do think youngsters have to learn how to use logic to figure out answers instead of expecting an answer to exist and be there for the taking.

I've graduated sometime ago.
This report specs were requested by the clients themselves.
I'm new to the job, so i just need someone to explain what I do not understand by the statements my clients gave.
Thanks to everyone who help.

See, there is realy a strange job market out there. Don't need SETI@home to interpulate that.

And I thought the Rockford area was wierd 10 years ago wanting ME's with PLC experience.

And I don't quite get the entry level positions I've seen advertised wanting 3-5 years experience, or those entry level jobs with NO experience paying $55-70K.

BTW, we just need to make sure that Tom sends someone else to Texas next time there is a startup or upgrade.

Sorry guys, this one will only make sense to a few people.

regards.....casey

By all means, elaborate Casey. Those of us in Texas want to know.

Maybe this thread can end up interesting after all.
