IQ Programming

Anybody know a good resource (forum, help page, whaddeva) on programming the electro-craft IQ 2000 positioning drive?

No specific questions yet, just looking for resources.

Electro-Craft was purchased by Reliance, which later got purchased by Rockwell Automation ( AB). I don't know if they post manuals for any of their legacy products. You might try your local AB sales office to see if there are any former Reliance applications specialists still on the payroll.

Yeh, I got the manuals, and they've been helpful. I've even managed to cobble out a few small learning programs from those and examples around the shop.

What I'm looking for is info on structure. The drive offers a couple of different directories, and specific program numbers have specific jobs. For instance, Prog 27 is an error handling routine -- but ONLY if it's compiled that way! There are alot of options that aren't fully explained in the documentation. Of course, I'm happy to share them here once I know enough not to embarrass myself

This sort of esoterica usually ends up blind-siding me, and I'm trying to gather as much data as possible before I start my upcoming projects. I've got two jobs that look like ideal candidates for these controllers, and I want to be prepared.
