Machine Vision Systems in general

I am trying to find some literature about vision systems and how they work or the theory behind them, if anyone can point me in the direction of any good manuals for beginners, i'd appreciate it.

Try this link. They have a large selection of downloads and you can even download their software. They had a download tutorial at one time; it may still be there.

Keyence has some good stuff. They have a bunch of pdf files available for download. They will also send a FREE unit to try out and play with.

Take a look at www.key.net - these guys make high speed tobacco sorters amongst other things , and they have to be seen tobe believed.
