BEginner to PLC

Hi, to all,
Recently, I was requested to study a PLC project using AB PLC. I have the RSLogix PLC5 but I do not have an activation key. Is there any other way that I can get an activation key or trial key or an actviation key at a cheaper price?

Are you locked in to the plc5? I don't know of any legal way to get a license for it, but there is a version of rs500 that only works for the micrologix. Try the directions in this post...

Tom is right ... but his link doesn't seem to work (at least for me) ... try this one instead ...

and if you tell us more about your project, then maybe we can give you some suggestions along those lines ...

and if you are locked into the RSLogix5 PLC-5 platform, then talk to your local distributor ... some of the guys on the forum have said that the distributors have a "loaner" activation so that you can "try before you buy" the software ... supposedly the activation will last for 30 or 60 days before it cancels itself out ...
