Help With Read/write Error

Hi guys,

Iam trying to introduce numeric entry code to input the data into the plc. But it gives the write fail error to the tag address in mentioned in panel view. I have the same tag as controller.

Need ur thoughts

check application settings and connection.
make sure that node type is correct and
make sure the tag is using same node name as set in application settings

i have
Address
enter_number SINT NODE_1 machine1.enter_number

Iam using same set of tags for two machines i.e. if it is machine2 then it will have tag address as machine2.enter_number.

I entered all these tags as user defined tags in rslogix.

But gives me read error for tag address when I try to do numeric entry..

I just check a numeric entry on my PV600 and I use unsigned integer writing to an N7:XX

most PanelViews I've worked with want their data as INT - not as SINT ... could that be your problem? ...

Ron u are right ,,, the PLC takes inputs in INT... I was trying with SINT ... thats giving me error ,.
