I want to upload a panelview program to a laptop. The panelview is a 600 and the connector into the panelview is DH485. How do I do the upload?

You need 1746-Net AIC then connect your PV cable to AICs 9 pin connector. OR You need 1746-AIC.

In sort You must have supporting Hardware.
it may be possible that any of the above hardware is availble inthe panel itself.

Isn't there a way to go directly from the panelview to the laptop?

yes, and this is what bhavik was refering too. He more or less was asking, do you have the required hardware. At the very least you need the proper cable. Once you have that, you will need to configure a driver in RSLinx on the laptop to communicate. Do you have any of this?

Yes, I can get the cable if that is all I need. I can configure the linx etc... I have been away from it for a bit and the whole communications protocol sometimes hoses me up. Thanks for everyone's help.

Go for 1746-PIC.
then configure AIC/PIC driver in RSLinx with proper baud rate etc.
If you see PV in RSLinx you are through with your problem.
