Gx Developer

Can anyone help? I am a novice with these PCL thingys. We have been conversing with our FX's using GX Developer V7. through a serial connection. We have now been dragged into the 21st Century and now use a USB port on the laptop. My problem is that I am unable to get the software to use the USB port. Please tell me that I am an idiot and the solution is simple!

Go to online, select tranfer setup. Select serial port and change com port number. Test using connection test button. Likely com port number 4
