S7-224 CPU and anemometer

Hi guys,



I need to measure wind speed with anemometer which output are pulses from 5 to 1000Hz (0 – 50m/s). Can S7-224 CPUs digital input measure such fast signal transitions, if not what are the alternative solutions?
