AB PanelView Communication problem

I’m having a communication problem with AB Panel View 300 and my PC.

I’m using a 1747 UIC (USB coupler) connected to the Panel View 300 via a DH485 cable. I get the OK light study on, USB and DH485 lights blinking so as to assume they are communicating,

On the RS-Links the panel is not found unless I set the Panel’s comm. Settings at F1 Node Max = 1 and F2 Node = 1 …where upon I get an ERROR 616 – Dup node addresses present on the Panel.

If I set the F1 to 2-31 and F2 to 2 I get an Error 613 Required Network Nodes not Found.

BTW RS-Linx will only bourse for nodes 1 and 2 …



Where do I go from here?



I don’t know what application is loaded on the Panel.

It sounds like you are using the wrong driver in RSLinx.

Thanks Mickey but, I am using the RS-232 DF-1 driver. It's working fine with a SLC 5/03 controller. I just cann't figure out thats the problem in getting into the panel view.

OK Tha cable I was using is a 1747- C10 not the C13 cable required. and of course I do not have the critter, does anyone know the wiring configuration?

check the Max Node settings in the PV 300 configuration settings
