AB mirologix 1500 memory loss

I recently had a customer with a micrologix 1500 plc which had lost all memory of the code stored in the unit, luckly i had modified a few parts of the code and had saved it on my laptop. Any ideas why the unit should do this, there had been no lightning or long power down periods?
 
A dead short across 24+ to 0v can do this as well. Even if it is only momentary. Look for any loose wires or "modifications" that may have been made while system was running.
