WinCC Flexible to S5

Hi,

I'm working on upgrading a machine with S5-944B CPU c/w DIMOS display card to MP270 touchscreen. The problems is that I can't access Data Block DB5 with WinCC Flexible. I select the data type as DBDW then I type 5 in the DB column but seems like I only can key-in DB10 and above. Any idea?

Had anyone use a MP with S5 before? I m curius why I can't create a tag with address DB1 to DB9. DB10 and above is ok.

Check the documentation. Maybe WinCC Flex assumes in S5 DBs 1 - 9 are commonly used for other functions, ie. DB1 - CPU configuration DB6- Default OP3 configuration, therefore, will not allow you to access them

I been checking the document I have but no mentioned in any form the address allocation. I have no problems using the address in Protool. If anyone know the solution, please let me know. Otherwise, I need to modify the orignal program which is not easy because the previous HMI using DIMOS.

So sorry, I tested Protool with the DB5. In fact it can't use DB5. It my foul, sorry. Seems like I need to modify the program. Do you have any friend did DIMOS before?
