Can someone tell me if the training series is up to date? I noticed one of the videos had a 2003 date on it.

I would say yes the theory behind plc programming is pretty much the same as it always have been.. The things that changes is how you use the software for the different brands of plc..
The hard thing as i see it is not to learn how counters, timers etc works it his how I structure the logic to make an easy and good design..
