Logix 5000 programming of a 1794-OF4I

I am using a Controllogix processor with a DHRIO card to talk to a 1794 ASB. The ASB rack has 4 analog input cards. I have them programmed the MSG for the analog inputs and they are working correctly.

The problem is with the 1794-OF4I MSG instructions.
How long is the read instruction?
How long is the write instruction?
Do I need to have any additional information in the write instruction?

I can not find programming examples for RSLogix 5000.

1794-6.5.8 manual has the settings you requested and how to configure it...

read length 7

write length 5

I have the manual and it only talks about PLC2,3,5.
Maybe I am missing something.

I guess RSlogix 5000 is similar to PLC5?

Its still gonna use block transfer write/reads so in that aspect it is the same.

RSLogix 5000 is a programming software and PLC5 is a PLC...shrug.

but ladder programs have similarities in how they talk to remote devices...

You are correct. My mistake. I should have typed RSLogix 5.
