Communication of S7-400 PLC with Laptop

Dear Friends,
I would like to know if there is any other option for communicating with S7-400 PLC other then MPI/DP converter and what is the approx. cost of MPI/DP converter? We are about to commission 02 nos. Siemens S7-400 PLC.
