Panelview 550 DH-485

I was given a Panelview 550 for training purposes and I understand that I need to have 1747-pic for downloading to the panelview at the RJ45 terminal. There is also another terminal, according to the manuals that is a DH-485 but is of a different style. This connection is not a 9 pin D-shell. What type or model of jack is it? I would like to use the DH-485 connection and use a DataLink to communicate to DH+, which is what I have on my 5/04. Or, is there a better way to get communications from my panelview to my slc 5/04. Is there a alternative com setup that doesn't require the 1747-pic, but still have com from panelview to Slc. Thanks.

can you post the exact model # of the PV you have? That will give the exact serial port configuration.

You should look at the 1747-UIC instead to get on DH-485.

As far as I know, if you have a SLC 5/04 and a DH-485 PV, your only option is DF1 to connect to the PV

As stated above the best option for programming your DH485 PV is the 1747-UIC ( USB to DH485 converter).
To connect your SLC5/04 to the PV. You will have to configure the SLC5/04 serial port for DH485.( see picture for connections)
