ML 1500/1100 MSG help

I am trying to message between a ML1500 and a ML1100. They are on an Ethernet network in the following configuration.



ML1500 (DF1)à NET ENI (192.168.1.150) à ML1100 (192.168.1.151)



Could someone share a MSG configuration from one or the other? I have a MSG Read from a SLC 5/05 to a similar ML1500 by using the Multihop tab on the setup screen, but I do not see the same tab on either the 1500 or 1100 MSG instruction setup screen.

You have to use the -ENI configuration tool to set the -ENI IP address and in Message Routing put the IP address of MX1100 in destination 45. (this address uses multihop)

Save this settings in -ENI and start to write a MSG in MX1500 as 500Cpu Read / 500Cpu Write and use as LOCAL address the one you configure in -ENI utility (45)
Other MSG parameters as needed.

I have configured the NET ENI for node 45 to the IP address of the ML1100.

I have not tried the message instruction in the 1500 yet. Does it have to be in the 1500 because of the ENI or can it be done on either side?

With the suggested configuration, MSGs must be prepared in MX1500.

You may also realize a MSG from MX1100, but settings are different and also MSG instruction in MX1100 has a new data type for routing via ethernet...
