Hi guys,

In one of my clients existing project, he has a system running Phoenix Contact PLC. It has a RS485 port. We'll install a new CompactLogix on a new machine, but this machine required some data from the Pheonix Contact PLC thru the RS-485. Does Allen Bradley has any RS232 to RS485 converter or RS485 communication slot in module?

Thanks.

The electrical interface is not the issue, the protocol is. Do they speak the same language. ( DF1,DH485,Modbus)

If you are using ModBus protocol with RS-485, you can use the Prosoft MVI69-MCM module, with this you can make Master/Slave communications.

Guys, the pheonix contact controller (From Atlas Copco ES130) is using Modbus RS485, so I think i'll have to source with Prosoft.
