Hi all just a quick question im doing a project in college im starting a project entitled:

The process is crystallisation by cooling. Develop PLC code and SCADA screens to implement batch control
Commission the system This also requires the implementation of closed loop control.
Develop PLC code and SCADA screens to implement batch control
Commission the system

My question is are there any good books i can read up on ISA S88 or any good sites as i know nothing about ISA S88 and iam new to programming. Iv read some articles on web but it doesnt explain in great detail. Any info would be great.

sorry for poor formatting - all attempts to rectify were for naught

ISA's S88 Standard is 4 separate documents (80 - 125 pages each)
Batch Control Part 1:
Models and Terminology

Batch Control Part 2:
Data Structures and Guidelines for Languages
Batch Control Part 3:
General and Site Recipe Models and Representation

Batch Control Part 4:
Batch Production Records

and a 5th Technical Report (20 pages) called
Possible Recipe Procedure Presentation Formats

A great book from ISA, it's thin and has got good examples.
