o_OHi to all. I was wondering if I need to learn more than one programming languages for the RsLogix 5000 in which the 4 languages are Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Chart, Structured Text and Traditional Ladder Logic. I have been learning the traditional ladder logix for the 5000 but wanted to know if there is any reason I would have to learn the others? Thank you for your help in advance.

Sincerely:
Maintenance Man.

There is always a reason in this case even if you plan to never use the other lanquages if you need to troubleshoot soneone elses code then its best to understand the other lanquages plus they sometimes offer greater flexibility

Ladder to FBD is very easy, dont know about RsLogix version of SFC. ST is so much different than first two that it can take some time. In otherhand, it is maybe most "multiplatform" language.

Its always worth to learn new things, even the knowledge should for everyone be enough a reason to learn new things.
