I was wondering if it would be feasible to control a Yaskawa V7 inverter from a Siemens Step-7 300 program through an Ethernet option. I know there is a ProfiBus option but the Ethernet option allows me to use the same drive on other configurations as well. I think there is no direct method like a command structure similar to the ProfiBus GSD file but I think it may be able to be done with some simple Network Send/Receive commands in logic. I would like to know if anybody has already had success with this and would also appreciate any advice.
