Hi,

l would like to find out if the above mentioned cable can work with windows vista ultimate and business.How much does this adapter cost.Find attached copy of the cable

Which Step 7 Version do you have ??. Does it run in Vista??

step 7 type we have is 5.4 version.

I'm not sure if Step 7 5.4 will work with vista. I have heard that some people are able to run it using virtual machine? but can't comment first hand.

For Step 7 V 5.4 you can use XP Prof. or Vista Ultimate or Vista Business (Siemens Catalog ST 70 from 2009).

We have been using the converter model IBH Link S7++ and they are great. they connect to the ethernet port (not USB) meanig that you can have the PLC at 100 mts from the PC and it also can have external power to connect to Profibus ports with NO power (ET's etc.)
