Here's a best-practices type question:

IF using stepper drives and a separate 48VDC power supply, is it a good idea to use a separate power supply for each drive, or is it alright to use more than one drive per supply (within amperage limits, of course)

Thanks,

TM

One supply is fine. Use large gauge wire to insure a heavy current load from one motor doesn't induce noise in other motors. Add additional caps at drives if that becomes a problem. A good practice to insure it doesn't.
3300-4700 uF should work well for size 23 motors.
