Hello, I am using step7 and I require a one second pulse. I don't think there are any system bits that I can use. Does any one have a suggestion? Thanks

Yes, there is a system clock memory byte.
You need to enable it in hardware config of CPU in the tab Cycle/Clock Memory - on the bottom of the tab.

And on specified byte, You'll find clock bits.
For example bit 0 is 0.1s long, bit 5 is 1 second on/off and bit 7 is 2 secons on/off.
