EEPROM-save in end loading unrealized MAC40+

Hi.
I load the program in the unit MAC40+, it is good in RAM but not written in EEPROM , in spite of the message EEPROM-save in end loading. I replaced the EEPROM with an ATMEL AT28C64B-15 to no avail. Should we use a very specific brand or do I have another problem.
