I have a RS 232 to 422 converter box and I have cables from the computers 232 serial port to the converter box but i need to make a 422 cable with db 9 ends. Can anyone point me to a good pinout?

All that i have found shows only 1 end of the cable. Does this mean that 422 cables are straight through with the same pinout on each end.

RS 232 flips a couple wires correct?

While RS232 has pin definitions RS422/RS485 does not. Everyone makes up their own. The wiring will be totally dependent on the devices involved. Many times you will see RS232 to RS422/485 convertors with wiring terminals on the RS422/485 side because there is no definition.
