hello,I have a project used the 1769-SDN module ,the 1769-SDN address is 0,the 1769-SDN is alarm ,the alarm code is 78 and 1 address.under the 1769-SDN have 8 modules.the address is form 1 to 8, the modules CAT. is 1734-8CFGDLX.now form 1 to 7 modules is ok, the eighth module network status is red light, please tell me ,How can I do be settled the problem. thanks!

Have you set up the scan list in the SDN to have all 8 modules or only 7 modules, you will need RSNetWorx for Devicenet to adjust the scanlist and the SDN needs to be in the idle state (not run mode).

After reading the fault code (78) it is not reading a device in the scanlist, if the number is alternating 78-1-78-1, then node one cannot be found on the network, you will definitly need to use RSNetWorx for DeviceNet to fault find this problem.

What Processor are you using, ML1500 or CompactLogix, if you are using CompactLogix you should be able to see the devices on the network when you are online.

Hello alan 505, thank you very much.I used the 1769-L32E processor, under the processor have 1769-SAN,1769-HSC,1769-OF2,1769-IQ32 and 1769-OB32,then 1769-L32E via Ethernet communication a panelview+.as the power on,the 1769-SAN is alternating display 78-1-78-1,it means the node one cann't found on the network.I used the RSNetWorx for Devicenet software setup the 1769-SAN and 8 modules(1734-8CFGDLX),scanlist are form 1to 8 node.save ,then I online.download the file to the 1769-SAN,but have a module network status is red light, the RSNetWorx for Devicenet alarm the one node is found.I changed the module to other install postion, the alarm red light is direct on this module, other modules is ok,the SAN alarm always is 78-1-78-1.I want to know How can i do ,the one node module network status is form red to the green.thank you.

the attach file is RSNetWorx for Devicenet file.

I think you just have a duplicate Node Number problem.

Because your RSNetworx project shows just the scanner and the eight POINT modules, you must be using a 1734-PDN to connect the POINT modules directly to the DeviceNet.

My recommendation is to remove all but one POINT module, then scan the network and find out what node number it is. If it is not Node 1, change it to be Node 1 and cycle power to verify it stays that way.

Next, plug in all the rest of the POINT modules.

Next, in RSNetworx, open the Parameter Editor for Node 1 and select "Sequential Auto Address". This is near the bottom of the parameter list.

This will cause all of the POINT modules to re-number themselves automatically between 1 and 7.

hello Ken Roach, sorry I forgoteen I used a 1734-PND module between the 1769-SDN and the 1734-8CFGDLX . next I follow your advice to do.thank you!
