Hello,

I am a computer programmer and need to communicate back and forth with a specific PLC.

I am wondering if an AB MicroLogix 1100 PLC is capable of sending and/or receiving a value over Ethernet to/from a specific IP Address and Port (i.e. to/from a Windows Computer).

Essentially, I need to send 5 bytes of information from the PLC to a computer, lookup a value and send a 0 or a 1 back to the PLC.

Is this possible with the MicroLogix 1100?
If not, is there a simple (very low cost) solution to achieve this task?

Thank you,

btaplin
