micrologix 1200

hello all

for a mistake we order micrologix 1200 instead a 1500 for control 2 stteper motors on the PTO outputs does any of you try to control 2 stteper with the 1200 if so how can use the HSC for both

For those of you keeping score at home, a quick summary of the various high-speed counter capacities of the MicroLogix line:

MicroLogix 1000: One high-speed Counter (6.6 kHz)
MicroLogix 1100: One high-speed Counter (40 kHz), two high-speed Outputs (40 kHz)
MicroLogix 1200: One high-speed Counter (20 kHz), one high-speed Output (20 kHz)
MicroLogix 1400: Three high-speed Counters (100 kHz), three high-speed Outputs (100 kHz PTO, 40 kHz PWM).
MicroLogix 1500: Two high-speed Counters (20 kHz), two high-speed Outputs (20 kHz)

If you do not require both steppers to run at the same time, and the steppers are of very similar configurations, you could select which stepper is being run by the PTO using a relay.

If the steppers are very different or must run at the same time, I can't see a solution.

If it were me, I would buy the correct controller, and return the MicroLogix 1200 or keep it for another future project.
