Hi everyone,

I want to ask you guys if I can use an output digital word (O:6, for instance) as the Dest parameter of a MVM instruction on a SLC 5/03 PLC.

Thanks again for your help.

try

Did you tryed before writen your post?

Put your analog address in the dest and verify the rung. If an error occur, the software will show you.

Yes, the MVM instruction works fine as you asked. I use the MVM for checking inputs as well, eg. when I've got a lot of cylinder positions to check prior to startup. If the mask is dynamic though, you may want to add some checking/inhibiting for the mask value in case of collisions or operator safety.

Steve.
