Communication issues between PV+ 1000 & Laptop

Hi,

We got a PV+ 1000 (2711P-K10C6D1 A C) communicating to SLC 5/03 over DH485 through a 1747-AIC coupler without any issues and i can communicate to SLC 5/03 through laptop over DF1 serial port.

However i can't establish commuication between PV+ 1000 and Laptop neither over it's serial port or ethernet port.

I setup IP on PV+ and laptop and ping it successfully but can't see the PV+ on rslinx RSWho.
I also tried on serial port without any success.

What is the I/P address and Subnet Mask settings of the HMI and the Notebook?
Also are you using a hub
is the E/net cable straight thru or a crossover type

I am using a straight ethernet cable with crossover adapter connected directly to the Pv+ 1000 no hub/switch in between.
I tried with straight serial cable with gender changer too.

The PC is ethernet is set up 192.168.0.5 & PV+ with 192.168.0.31 and mask 255.255.255.0.

I got a spare PV+ 1000 Touch, i could communicate with it with another HMI application. I loaded the application file from PV+ 1000 ( keypad) to this working setup of PV+ 1000 Touch, and same comms problem replicated here.

I had a thought that the PV+ subnet default is 255.255.0.0
check the firmware version of the screen

The firmware version is 5.10.00.09 (CPR 9 SR2).
I have tried with subnet mask of 255.255.0.0...no success.

I was wondering why when i load this application on a spare PV+1000 with Touch, there too i have same problem...where as other application on that spare work just fine.
