Hello Guys,

I'm working on a project in which i have to communicate my own plc with A siemens S7-300 plc by modbus protocol ?

1- What should i first figure out ??

2- Can I communicate serially, TCP/IP ??

3- What must i have to gain this task ??

Thanks

Siemens has Open modbus(TCP, port 502) library. Communication via CP434 or CPU integrated profinet interface is possible.
Open modbus library is optional and it is not cheap. Costs ~1500€ where I am.

Which make is 'my own plc'?

If it also is a S7300, 400 or 1200, you should avoid Modbus and use S7 protocol with PUT/GET instead.
