Remote Desktop Connection on a PanelView 1000

Hi,

I try to control a PannelView Plus 1000 with my computer, but when I use Remote Control Desktop Connection with the IP adress of the PanelView, I can't connect ...

Anybody know how can I do it ?

I don't think that PanelView Plus can be a Windows RDP Server. I know for certain that the PanelView Standard terminals do not have any remote viewing features.

The PanelView Plus models with "extended features" can run the FactoryTalk ViewPoint software to present their displays using Microsoft Silverlight, or you can configure them as VNC Servers and use a VNC client.

I use TightVNC with my PanelView Plus 6 terminals and it works well.

I have a PanelView Plus models with "extended features" and there is a Remote Desktop Connection installed on it.

PanelView Standard terminals do not operate on Windows platforms.
Remote Desktop(RDP) is is the native presentation protocol for Microsoft® Windows NT® Server 4.0 and later.
Some of the PanelView Plus HMIs do run on early editions of Windows CE.
All PanelView Plus 6 terminals are operating on Windows CE platforms, however, the Windows CE features will have to be "user unlocked".
Unfortunately, Windows CE does not provide but RDP Client features only; in order to control an OS via RDP the OS will need to provide RDP Server services.
The only way I could think of one could "control" a PanelView Plus terminal (other than pushing/touching terminal keys/touch objects) is via FactoryTalk View Studio "Test Display" or "Test Application" features or using a "Remote Control" application such as VNC (TightVNC).

The program you can launch on the PV+6 desktop is the RDP Client, not RDP Server.

I've fiddled around with it a little (I was trying to get a Linux RDP emulator to show up) but haven't used it in real life.
