I don't really have actual experience with PLC systems but I have to deal with a profibus connection in a project I'll explain, so sorry for newbie questions
We have a Fanuc robot and it has a Profibus card and supports connections with PLC. My colleagues have connected it to a ET200 and expanded its I/O already and it works. My job is to connect it to a PC (Using Profibus PC cards) and send and receive binary data with a VB6 program.
I know it's a Profibus DP connection and I know that libnodave has provided needed libraries.
Since I haven't worked with Profibus, I wanted to know if what i intend to do is possible or I am far in a wrong road?
