Hi guys I posted another thread regarding this but could not help much.

I have 2 x ultra 100 drives. Both were working fine last week, but now one of them is showing blinking green/orange led.

I cycled the power, and trying to communicate using ultramaster but all in vain. :mad:No comms with this faulty drive though communication is ok to the other drive which proves that it is not problem with any of these 'cable, RS232port or ultramaster settings.'

Anybody know if I can reset it to factory setting or anything else I can try?
These are connected to SLC5/05 through rio scanner via IMCS, I wonder if I can get fault code from there?

Loopback test, did not try but as PC is communicating to other drive so it should be ok.

no comms so no error code.

I tried Point 2 of this from Rockwell but did not work, I don't have HIM

2902 - No communication to Ultra 100/200
Problem
No communication to Ultra 100/200 with Ultra Master

Solution
If you cannot establish communications with the Ultra 100/200 after verifying that the communications settings are correct,
the comm port is not in use by another application, you are using a null modem cable (pins 2 to 3, 3 to 2, and 5 to 5 only),
and a successful loopback test has been performed on the Com port there are two options to try.

1 - Obtain a touchpad module 1398-HMI-001 and connect it to J5, this will force the communications parameters to 19200, N,8,1. Cycle power to the drive and make sure the communications parameters in UltraMaster are set to these settings.
2 - If a touchpad is not available and you do not have a sealed serial cable, open the connector at the drive end and jumper pins 5&6. Connect the cable, cycle power, and make sure the communications parameters in UltraMaster are set to the settings of 19200, N, 8,1.

I not so familiar with Ultra 100, but few questions will arise to u,

1.) If the PC can't comm. with Ultra 100 via serial Port 1/2 or RS232/RS485
How to download/Upload a program to Ultra 100.

2.) if only problem on setting com, baud rate/bit etc or your com PC occupy
By others system u still can setting the comm.

3.) Already backup the Ultra 100 parameters/program?

4.) Ultra 100 still available in market?

Blinking Green/Orange = Drive Fault
Check the error code in Fault history
Ic oucld be caused by a variety of things but usually its Excess Following Error
