Panelview 900

I am working on a A-B panelview 900 Cat 2711-T9C3 Firmware 4.0...The unit is on 24/7 and now I have a white screen, I recycled power and after a few attempts the screen goes black then bright white. The green communication led on the back is lite and the fault led is off, I e-mailed tech support and the said maybe the firmware needs reinstalled...does anyone know where to start with this problem.

I've never seen your problem, but I would:

1. Call AB Tech Support, Open a Case Number, and get their best answer.

2. Call your AB distributor - many have good in-house tech support (and/or very good inside contacts at AB!) Get their best answer.

3. Based on the answer you get, I expect you should look into the "immediate repair and replace" program (talk to your distributor). Typically you can get a refurbished unit (with a one year warranty) to replace your existing unit. Price will be significantly less than a new unit, and you will have the unit tomorrow morning.

PS: I assume that you have a way to load the program into a new terminal . . .
