4th year electrician in BC, Canada

My experience with PLC's is mostly with physical installation as an electrician apprentice.

My programming experience is with modicon, Rockwell micrologix, and siemens logo.

I am attracted to PLC programming as I enjoy problem solving, and designing. This skill has come naturally to me, and was my strongest point in my schooling

I have passed my inter provincial exams and am only waiting on 200 hours until I am a journeyman electrician in canada.

Hey,

Education:
Industrial Electronics 2 year degree from Wenatchee Valley College with a focus on AB PLC's. (500/5000, basic networks, troubleshooting and programming)
2 year industrial machinist certification.
Allen Bradley accelerated Maintainer program.

Work History:
1 year @ a Plastic extrusion and thermoforming facility using legacy motion control from Baldor and Yaskawa integrated with SLC5 series plc components.

2 years working for a local DOT in a newly constructed tunnel facility using 5000 series components (pre v22 rslogix) in a complete SCADA system controlling traffic flow, ventilation, fire detection and suppression, pumps ect... I spend most of my time interpreting the way our system is supposed to run then verifying if we are functioning as designed.

ModBus, BacNet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, EthernetIP.

Looking for more opportunities to grow and learn from experienced individuals. Part time, weekends, on call or for the right opportunity I'd consider a career change. PNW preferred.

Thanks!
