I am running FTVME 8.20 on my laptop and v6.1 on a VM. I also have RSView on another VM. I have a panelview plus running a 4.0 runtime. I have a copy of the .mer in 8.20. I do not have the original 4.0 .apa file. Is there any way to create a 4.0 .mer with what I have?

If your 8.2 mer file allow conversion then you can restore it using application manager and then creat a new mer file

In version 8.2 you can only create .mer files down to version 5.0

I tried creating a 6.1 .mer in FTVME 8.2, then converting the 6.1 in FTVME 6.1, but it told me that the 6.1 .mer I created in version 8.2 is not a valid runtime file in FTVMEv6.1

What about upgrading the firmware of your pv?

I'm fairly certain that is what I am going to have to do. I just need downtime to do it. Its hard to justify unplanned stoppage for me to flash the firmware and add a button to an HMI that's working.
