What the heck is this "P", and how is it used for this counter? ....You can't search a "P" in the manual.

Yes, I remember them as "P" for pulse.

But as JRW stated it's on the positive side one-shot.

In every PLC I'm familiar with, counter instructions only increment on the transition of their count input, which would make the -]P[- instruction superfluous.
