What RSLogix 5000 Revision and Release are you using?
What CPU Firmware Revision and Release is running on the CompactLogix?

I use RSLogix 5000 Version 20.00

Dear dmargineau

I use RSLogix 5000 Version 20.00 and
I use Firmware Version 20.13 running on CPU 1769-L32E

What I am looking for is the software Release Version.(RSLogix 5000, Toolbar-Help/About RSLogix 5000-> CPRx, SRy; x=? y=?)

Question

What does the RSLogix 5000 download error "Attribute value not settable" mean?
Answer

Verify that the RSLogix 5000 software is an actual released version.
In one case, customer had Beta RSLogix 5000 software, trying to download a program to a 1769-L32E processor with released V20 firmware in it.
When the program was converted to a released version of RSLogix 5000 V20, the program downloaded to the 1769-L32E just fine.

I should use Firmware V20 release CRP9 SR4

Dear dmargineau and MATT116

I think when I use RSLogix 5000 V20 CPR9 SR4
Therefore, I should use Firmware V20 release CRP9 SR4 same as
release version of RSLogix 5000 (CPR9 and SR4)

I think this is correct ?

I will try to download firmware V 20.012 to CPU

Dear MATT116

Now, I try to download firmware V 20.012 to CPU and I will tell the result to you

I have already downloaded Firmware V20.012 to CPU

Dear MATT116

I have already downloaded Firmware V20.012 to CPU, But I can not download program to CPU. the same problem remains

There is a note regarding the Error you are experiencing within the RSLogix 5000 Rev.20 Release Notes (http://netstorage.rockwellautomatio...n=1363964725_c2af6edc081223db593957e82f6b8d74
however, this is relatied to trying to use RSL5K Rev.19 with Rev.20 CPUs.
You might have to downgrade the L-32E to Rev.19...:(
Do you have RSLogix 5000 Rev.19?
1969-L32Es are "maxed out" with firmware revision 20; they are being replaced with the new generation 5730 CompactLogix CPUs; I have personally experienced issues with running Revision 20 firmware on "old" Logix CPUs and I believe some Forum members ran into something similar; "downgrading" back to 19 seems to be the proper software/hardware functionality issues mitigation.

Dear dmargineau and MATT116

I use Windows 7 , 64 bit, Now, I used Firmware V16 finish, This Work !
I can download and run program finish.

Thank you everyone
see you next time,

alpine

Glad to hear that.
You might want to go to 19 though; you are "losing" plenty of functionality features when running Rev.16 firmware on a CPU capable of 19.
