I currently have a slc05/01 but its pretty limited as to what i can do. I know i need a slc5/03 or better to run an analog input in class 3 mode if i am correct but i was trying to create a floating point file i believe like and f8: or what not and i dont even have that option. Now i dont wanna spend the big bucks to upgrade to and 05/04 or better but have a couple options on a SLC05/03 at a reasonable price does anyone know if i can make a float file on an 03? If so im saving about a thousand bucks.

Thanks

Go to processor configuration and see what OS you've got. OS300 doesn't support Floating point. OS301 and OS302 do.

Good Luck,

Hi

The best thing to do is make a copy of your project and then change the processor in that project to the one you are thinking of getting. Then you will be sure.

Look at Micrologix 1400, that supports Floating point.
Depending on I/O you may be ahead of the game. $$$
