How was the OIT connected to the old processor? Can you tell us more about this OIT make and model number?

The file you post still has a lot of edits in it.

OIT is made by uniOP
CP04F-04-1921s/w ver 4.08
It is supposed to give operators full access to all timers, etc. but I don't want that. It is best just for info displays. There are a handful of alarm display scans in the ladder rungs where change of state in key areas needs to display; alarms, etc. The PLC just tells the OIT to display one pre-loaded line of text or other.

Re: the edits - This PLC originally ran a packaging machine and shrink tunnel. I needed to build another machine that had to work alongside this one. There was enough I/O left that I could do what I wanted. I added the program changes for this to the original ladder file. Any references to conveyors and perforator are about this.

From the manual you posedt page 4 for the cable you need and pages 16,17 for how to setup the comm ports.

It says nothing about programming the unit so you are on your own there.

The database shows all I/O at both addresses but the ladder display still shows the old base unit addresses and errors re the unconfigured I/O. How do I put this right?
Now that you have converted your I/O addresses, your program appears to have both old addresses at I:0 and O:0, and new addresses. You should delete the old stuff to avoid confusion (probably easiest way is "Tools, Database, Delete Unused Addr). Also check the shorted rung branch on Rung 0072 - something got left out.

thanks for the look and advice. I have an old set of disks for a program called Designer for Windows by Exor. It's for programming these OIT units from UNIOP.
