480 v to 400 v transformer

Where can i find this transformer ?

Pri 480 v 3x 0.12 A
Sec 400 v 3x 0.12 A
3 phase
Type DTS 80
50/60 Hz

Anything I can think of will be overkill.

Look for a custom made transformer.

A small VFD operating in volts/hz mode, set for 400 volts at 60 Hz. Almost certainly less expensive than a custom-wound three phase transformer.

Had a Bubba (real name Larry) working for me that could do this for you. He did it once in the shop I was working at and put a motor in flames.
On a 480V machine he replaced a motor with a straight 240V motor & turned it on. Serious flames after a few minutes.

When I noticed the 240 only motor I asked him why & he told me he made 240. I didn't see a 3 phase transformer added so I asked him again.
He insisted he made 240 - I said show me how. He took a wire, stripped it, counted 49 strands of copper & cut off 25 strands telling me half of 480 is 240.
Larry didn't work on motors or wiring after that.

If he requires a sinusoidal wave form this won’t work.

good thinking, you must be as old as me (58), i learnt this as an apprentice........in my 40+ years i have never seen this done. its cool old tech.

Instead of an isolating transformer, I suggest an autotransformer.
That company makes them for 3-phase even down to 0.1kVA, so that could fit the bill:

Older, truth be told.

And I have employed buck boost transformers, although it was back in the 1980s.

Most of the Buck/Boost Transformers I've seen are lower than the 60v he's asking for, but if you can find them it may be the cheapest.

Autotransformer is the conventional solution...

Unless, of course, you are also looking for 400v/50hz from 460v/60hz. Then it gets more complicated. If there are any motors in the subject machine, be careful!

They're available in that voltage range. The ones that I've used in the past were in that same range.
