CompactLogix shouldn't be used for redundancy. It's not designed for it, and the technotes that describe the "soft backup" are filled with disclaimers and warnings. Rockwell does not distribute the "Logix Hot Backup Code Generator" directly to customers, and advises customers who are trying to use these techniques that they can only obtain assistance from their local sales office, and will not distribute it to the local sales office without a commitment to engage a local commercial engineer. It is Rockwell Automation's express desire and intent that anyone using these techniques work closely with their local sales and support office.
The insertion of another CompactLogix 5370 series controller in the I/O tree is no different for "software redundancy" than it is for ordinary Produced/Consumed tag exchange.
I think the problem in this case is that jagadeesh17js is attempting to upload the project directly from the controller without having the source project on his PC, which requires that all the modules be created by Studio 5000 Logix Designer.
I recommend that instead he copies the project file (*.ACD) from the computer on which it was developed to his computer. He can open the project offline, then upload any changes that are in the controller.
