Has anyone used both the AB Pico and the Siemens Logo? Are they really the same controller? Can you use the same software for both?

I found some old post here but nothing in the last year that could tell me much about the two. It would be great to use the same software in a Siemens and an AB controller.

Nope, not the same. I have done both. The Pico is more like a typical PLC but limited. The Logo is more like function blocks in a way and also limited. Just make sure either really fits your application, don't get real complicated. The main reason I used them was the high current relay contacts. I the right application they are great.
If you are a PLC programmer (AB, TI, Modicon types) I found that with the Logo you need to think differently and you will make it work.
You can download the AB software for free (AB free?) and I think the Logo software maybe avaiable online, I am not sure. Both have the feature of simulation (at least the Logo software did years back) on your PC. If anything they are cute to play with.
