Acs 550

You need to familiarize yourself with "sensorless vector" control. The ACS550 has this option available in standard form. Rather than use an encoder for actual measured speed feedback, the drive uses an estimated speed feedback signal which is generated from a motor model in its memory. Building this motor model is part of the commissioning process.
