All in one PLC + HMI

I bought a starter kit a few years ago from Idec to get a 'free' 3 day training course (which al the emails for the courses across the country now say $899)

I bought their cheapest one that had one of their All-in-Ones that actually was pretty nice, although I would never use one for anything other than a tine project.

Here is their FC6A page.

Used them, but I'm against them, as from my experience the weakest element in all automation components is HMI backlight and after that HMI screen. With OPLC you are without everything, with separated OP and PLC, production doesn't stop.

Agreed, same feeling about panel mounted PLCs with embedded display. I use a panel mounted monitor (Hope Industrial display) with a small computer (Intel NUC by Simply NUC) mounted on the back of the monitor with included Vesa mounting kit.
